Meet Nana! Nana traveled to the Chicago area all the way from South Korea to find her forever home! She was in a shelter in S. Korea, and purely because of numbers was allocated to be put to sleep, so we brought her to the States with no regrets! She is a wonderful little dog, high spirited, energetic, playful and puppy-like. Nana loves to play with other dogs, loves toys and loves to get into things...just as puppies do! So cover the trash can, hide your shoes and get ready to fall in love with this sweet girl! We have her marked as a two year old, but she may be younger, and as said above is still very puppy-like, although she is not "hyper" nor out of control. Nana is also affectionate and likes to be cuddled. Nana is learning about walking on leash, catching on fairly quickly, but it has been so cold in Chicago, we have not had much of an opportunity to practice. Nana is currently in a foster home with a fenced yard. She does seem to like the winter weather and snow and likes to play games of come catch me if you can to come back inside! With regularly scheduled outings, Nana does well in the potty department, but she sometimes gets distracted and may have an accident if she is having too much fun away from the door to go outside. Nana will use a crate, but will also try to get out, and she needs some kind of confinement when not supervised. Nana is also learning to use a bowl for her food, she was tipping her bowl over to dump out the kibble, but she is getting better with practice! Requirements to adopt Nana: 1) Patience with puppy behavior, 2) Expect chewing and getting into things as puppies do, 3) Provide playtime, 4) Provide a doggie playmate in home or with playdates, 5) Know a bored puppy gets into more stuff, 6) Older dogs that want to be left alone are NOT recommended, as Nana will be relentless trying to get another dog to play, 7) Older children are fine, Nana has not had experience with very young children, 8) No cats, she will chase cats.
